Happy Chinese New Year! There’s no more exciting way to open the new Chinese lunar calendar by revealing the results of our inaugural poll for the Dog Names of the Month. Yes, the poll result is out for the #NameYourPawdel picks of the month! As I’ve said in my previous announcement, we will be shortlisting the top 12 pet names we’ve personalized on our collars and/or name tags in January of 2022.

Furby is the most popular dog name in January of 2022

Furby took the top spot with the most popular votes. The name is an American electronic robotic toy that was originally released in 1998. It resembles a hamster or owl-like creature and went through a period of being a “must-have” toy following its holiday season launch, with continued success until 2000. Furby, a Pomeranian Spitz, was also featured in how parenting a pet saved a childless couple’s relationship.

The second most popular names are tied between London, Otillie, Hugo, and Yoko. It’s interesting to see how this February’s poll will turn out. We can’t wait! 🤩
