A smarter way to love your pets

Commitment to innovate the promotion of love and happiness between pets and their human companions in whatever form, shape, or size.

This is our

It all started with a rescued Aspin (a portmanteau of Asong Pinoy or Native Dog in the Philippines) from the Philippines. A country where the dog meat trade preys on stray animals. From day one, we only wanted this dog to feel good, and look good. So let us share a short story of how it all began for us at Pawdel.

Style is Love

Me and my partner, Rasmia, don’t live a luxurious lifestyle but we fancy the finer tastes in life. One of which is style.

Some may argue style is plain vanity. But we believe anything you try to make it look attractive is dear to you. You decorate your house, you accessorize your car or you cut your hair to your own liking. All of that has one thing in common, you love it so much that you put in the effort to make it look better, feel better.

Puppy Love

A mere hours before New Year’s Eve in 2014, while walking along an empty dirt road, we were closely being followed by a stray puppy as if begging to be rescued. We couldn’t leave him behind in the middle of the New Year revelry so we picked him up along Roberto Street and named him Robby. He was our first dog.

As soon as we adopted him, we immediately bought food and supplies that same afternoon. He was so dirty we groomed him up for hours that we almost missed the New Year’s celebration. We’ve given so much for Robby on that first day and it has never wavered up to this day. Knowing what he probably went through and what could have been had we not rescued him, we vowed to give him all the best we could. Just for him to look better, feel better.

Wearable Piece of Love

Providing food and shelter are basic needs. But providing anything more than the basic necessity is superfluous love! So while we could buy the best clothes, shoes and accessories for ourselves, we couldn’t exactly find equally stylish collars and bow ties for our dogs. If we could dress in style, why couldn’t we pet in style? After all, style is the superfluous of love.

Arrian figured, who as an entrepreneur and whose extended family is in the garments industry, “if we can’t find it, then we might as well make it.” As we developed our collars and bow ties, our keen attention to detail and design sensibilities are ingrained in every collar, bow tie, leash and name tag that we make.

As it turns out, what we’re creating is more than just a pet accessory business. We’re building a pet lifestyle brand for anyone like us who wants to nurture their unique relationship with their pet companion with a wearable piece of love.

Love Your Pawdel

Our relationship with our pets needs to be expressed beyond the basic needs. We, humans, are emotional creatures. Our emotional bond with our dogs and cats is more personal and closer than our close circle of friends. Our pets don’t speak. But it is this unspoken love that makes them the most companionable species in the whole animal kingdom wherever they may be in the world.

Our wearable pieces of love aren’t just designed to be stylish accessories. It’s a lifestyle to raise their general welfare — their perceived standing in our society from just mere animals to our equal companion. We created Pawdel to be a statement of love.

A statement of love for your pawdel.

Arrian Lim

Arrian is a generalist who started his career in sales and eventually marketing. He had an award-winning career at a world-leading pharmaceutical and medical technology company.

But his inquisitive nature outgrew his role that only entrepreneurship can ever feed. With no background in the pet care industry to lean on, his only foundation to build upon this company was his pure unadulterated love for dogs and cats.

Arrian's unique perceptiveness of irrational human behavior helps him foresee latent demands in the pet care market. A fellow of Alibaba Business School, he embarked on a quest to turn the company's wearable pieces of love into wearable tech for pets with the pet tech startup Pawnec.
